How does OKSIMO$^{TM}$ looks like from a system's perspective?

In the systems perspective one is looking to the main components which are interacting with each other. A rough outline can be given as follows:

  • The user is communicating with the whole system with the aid of the user client, UC. This is a software which allows for the user either to edit a model or to control a simulation. Modeling is done with the aid of a graphical FCL-Editor, visED. The control of a simulation is done with the aid of a simulation controller, SC. In case of the stand-alone version is the control software part of the local application. In case of the super computer version it is hosted on the supercomputer platform.
  • The simulation is done by the OKSIMO$^{TM}$ simulator software. In case of the stand-alone version is the simulator software part of the local application. In case of the super computer version it is hosted on the supercomputer platform.
  • A global model database could be hosted on any server in the internet. An important part is the user management. On account of limited resources does until now only exist a first working prototype.
